Healthy Eating: An Apple a Day Goes a Long Way

 

Keep the Following Tips in Mind for Healthy Eating and Weight Maintenance

 

For breakfast, lunch & dinner follow the plate planner

 

  • Half of your plate with fruits and vegetables

  • 1/4 of your plate with whole grains

  • 1/4 of your plate with protein

  • In case you feel hungry in between meals

  • Eat a small snack1 small fruit, 1/4 c of nuts, low fat low sugar yogurt, vegetables with hummus or yogurt dip.

For beverages

  • Drink regular or unsweetened flavored water,

  • 1% or fat free milk

Physical Activity

  • At least 30 minutes of brisk walks daily
